The SMART•E project is aimed at developing an innovative solution for the remote management of industrial plants, mainly exploiting IoT technology, combined with cloud infrastructures (fog, edge – continuum computing), and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT).

The project leverages IoT technologies to ensure complete control of the work processes on industrial plants, pervasively, remotely, and ubiquitously, from any type of device, in line with Industry 4.0. It promotes the interconnection of machines (PLC), devices and industrial things with corporate IT systems, exploiting the power of the Cloud and the versatility of DLT technologies.
