A NEW WAY OF COMMUNICATING IN HEALTHCARE WITH G.O.M. DIGITAL SIGNAGE

In response to the growing demands of digitization in contemporary society, the Reggio Calabria Great Metropolitan Hospital (G.O.M.) “Bianchi Melacrino Morelli” has chosen us as collaborators to launch an innovative digital signage service. The project, known as G.O.M. Digital Signage (GDS), aims to improve the patient and visitor experience by providing up-to-date and engaging information with the use of digital screens placed at strategic locations around the hospital.
We are proud of this project, which is a testament to Webgenesys’ commitment to championing technological innovation across the board and, therefore, also improving the well-being and experience of users in crucial settings such as hospitals.

Share information and engage with digital signage

Through our digital and interactive bundle and content strategy, GDS is becoming a new way to communicate the value and activity of the Great Metropolitan Hospital. Using digital signage makes it easier to keep users informed and convey to them the quality of the healthcare services provided.

However, the project is not only about providing information, but also entertaining visitors from the time they arrive, giving them useful information to orient themselves within the hospital facility. It also provides engaging content during waiting times to enhance the overall patient and visitor experience. This will make it easier for the hospital to:

  • improve its image and communicate its strengths;
  • alleviate the wait for patients and visitors through positive and reassuring content;
  • make the services offered known to anyone passing through the hospital, including those who are not used to regularly checking the web and social media.

Informative and engaging content for an enhanced experience

In this first phase of the project, we have placed 13 screens at some of the focal points in the hospital wards. What’s the aim? To convey a wide range of messages, including:

  • useful information, suggestions and service content for patients;
  • news and trivia related to the Great Metropolitan Hospital;
  • practical guidance for patients;
  • news stories taken from outside sources;
  • informative videos about the healthcare activities in the two facilities.

All the content can be either static, i.e., graphics created ad hoc and accompanied by text notes, or dynamic, and can be tailored based on your location and the activities scheduled during certain time slots.
